Where are all the people

In a world with billions of people why is it that only 22 have viewed my blogs? What am I doing wrong? I wish I could get a little attention since I started this not only to vent but to make a buck. Time will tell if I'm wasting it or not.

Onstar , bringing down the horse

I would like to start by saying what a brilliant idea onstar is for car owners to have. You can have instant emergency assistance after an accident even if your unconscious. You can have onstar unlock your car for you when you've locked the keys in. You can even have them locate it and shut it off if it's been stolen. Now let's discuss the idiocy of allowing such a system in our automobiles which we count on for our very survival. We are all aware of computer hackers. It is almost a weekly thing that one of my friends on Facebook gets their account hacked. What is going to happen when all cars come with onstar or something similar and all our cars can be remotely shut off? Who's to say a hacker from an invaded country won't shut off every car in new York before obliterating the place leaving little or no time to flee on foot? Did anyone think of that. Seems like a good way to bring down a country doesn't it. I for one would like control over whether or not my vehicle runs. Technology can be a wonderful thing but you have to take a step back and wonder who is running the show. On another note, with onstar in your car anyone who wants to, hint hint can listen into your conversations. So you better be on the up and up. Watch your back.

Fuel economy cars

So here it is. Has anyone noticed we get much better mileage in our cars but on average we spend more on gas than when we drove our V8 beasts of yesteryear? Sure let's let our government push these economic cars on manufacturers and charge more tax on the gas. We burn less but they make more. Hmmm something is not right with this picture. Aren't we just prolonging their hold on our paychecks by making the oil last longer? Why not get on the government to put a stop to all this? For the people by the people my @ss. I'm one of those people and I'm not ok with having my rights violated by a corrupt system of government and corporation. Comment if you want some of your balls and freedom back.

Blogging not a get rich quick thing

This is definitely not a way to make money fast. I've been blogging all week and not even made a penny. Anyone have any ideas?

Lazy workers

It has come to my attention that there is a trickle down affect in business. By this I mean the crap starts with the freeloading management and roles right down on the heads of the actual workers. Management won't give us enough work to make the production rate then chews us out when we don't reach the goal. It's not rocket science people.

Stock market dives

So it looks like this morning everything in the stock market is down and in the red. Well I don't know what they taught you in school but red was never a good thing in mine.

Japan death toll rising

Before the sun even rose here in the western part of the world, we received the news that the death toll has reached I've 2000 people. Be aware that there are coastal towns unaccounted for. One such town could add almost 10,000 to that death toll. A scary thought for our brothers and sisters in japan. Keep praying.

Japan's death toll 03/14/11

It seems that with every waking day the death toll in japan is growing. Just today the toll reached a staggering 1897 people. That does not include the people who are still unaccounted for and presumed dead. Another explosion has been heard at the faltering power plant as the country is brought to there knees by what is now being called a 9.0 earthquake which was followed by a tsunami. The most amazing thing to me is that the whole country moved eight feet geologically. That means as far as latitude and longitude coordinates are concerned you would have to slightly adjust your gps satellite to locate japan.

Apple is the future

Despite being bombarded by android based electronics everywhere we turn, apple still has the upper hand when it comes to technology. Sure you can buy a cheap tablet with android on it but it will not compare with iOS. The apple operating system is unmatched in today's market. For example have you ever even heard of an antivirus program for the iPod touch or iPad? No you haven't because there is no need for one. Let me put this in simpler terms. The iOS speaks a different language than android. All the viruses out there right now are not compatible with iOS language. Therefore they don't get viruses. If you do see an antivirus software offered for apple products, it's a scam. Don't waste your money. Stick with apple and you'll be happy.

Babies, screaming loud babies

Toady we have two babies and our toddler at home. One is our four month old the other is our friends seven month old and the toddler is ours. There is a little whining and fussing but mostly the thing I notice is the lack of silence. There are very few moments where my wife and I can communicate without an elevated level of voice. I sure could use some silence.

Japan quake death toll

Just a weekend after the 8.9 earthquake in japan, the death toll has reached 1833. That is the official report. However there are at least 2000 more that for some reason have not been included in that count. After days bodies are now returning to the surface. I can't imagine what it must be like along the coast line. Rolling blackouts have set in as the nation battles to save their power plant before meltdown. Please continue praying for this nation in need.

Dead beat dad for life

I like many other men in the united states am a product of a broken home. Like others, I endured the stories and excuses throughout the years of why my parents were the way that they are. I recently tried to make a connection with my father after 24 years by letting him and my adopted sister move in with my wife and I and two children. My dad has always been what I like to call a "runner". After moving in mid October it became evident I had made a mistake. There was something not right with my father. We soon did not trust him alone with our two young girls. I am not implying anything ever happened but when your gut tells you to protect your kids you do. My dad left recently and I have heard from him three times since. Two of those times he was drunk. I love my dad but at this point in my life I have to realize he is a destructive force in my life and I am better off without him. I have not shared all the details of why he ran to Idaho of all places this time but maybe in a future post.

Japan power plant melt down

So while reading the news on CNN today I saw that two reactor cores are possibly in meltdown. For those of you that don't know what that means, let me simplify. If it doesn't kill you from radiation poisoning now the cancer or leukemia will most likely get you later. In other words bad bad news. I hope to God they have evacuated everyone far enough out of the affected zone. There were already 160 people that tested positive for high levels of radiation contamination. This after the official report was that a controlled harmless amount of radioactive air was released.

Spring time change. It's not ok.

Today is the day of the dreaded spring forward time change. A much outdated method of somehow pulling an extra hour out of our butts. Well if I'm getting an extra hour where is it? It is 6:30 in the morning and I have yet to see a sign of sunlight. Then again I do live in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin. I wonder why we do such an idiotic thing every year. Are there really that many farmers still benefitting from the free labor of their children after school? Maybe I should grow something to make this worth while. At least there will be more sunlight when I get off at 3:30 on Monday. Oh right, I'm still in Wisconsin. You know what the say about Wisconsin, if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes.

Japan tsunami tragedy

I would like to ask you all to pray for those affected by the tsunami that occurred this last week. Many lives have been lost and many families will never be the same. May God be with them all.

Terrible twos are great!

I will never doubt the folklore which has taught generation after generation that our children turn into wild untamable beasts between the ages of about 1 1/2 an 3. I must admit I was an unbeliever, then came my adorable daughter Hannah. I love this child of mine to death, but lord help me I don't know how many more times I can keep my cool after telling her to stay out of the wipes or bathroom or quit laying on the cat. How many times do you think a toddler can lay on a cat and be bitten before they can be classified as clinically insane. I swear somedays she wanders around chanting like a drunken monkey. God knows I love her though.

iPad 2 here we go again apple

I am very excited apple Has finally released the new iPad 2. I personally thought the iPad 1 should have had cameras but you can't expect all electronics to be perfect. I'm curious to see how much faster than the a4 processor this one will be. We will see.

Humane society blues

I just got back from the humane society in Manitowoc Wisconsin and my wife is wanting this black lab puppy she saw there. Granted the puppy is cute but you know things are tight right now with the car payment and child support. I would love to give my wife everything she wants but hey we're just stretched a little too thin for about for years. Feeding a family of four on fifty bucks a week isn't exactly easy. My real children come before furry adopted ones. Sorry.

Mmmmm fillet of fish

I don't know what kind of fish is in them and really I don't care, but wow I love my fillet of fish. So much so that I consumed two. I wish they would put them on the dollar menu already. You can't tell me that ground up fish gut they put in them costs anymore than the beef they put in their patties. Maybe I'll have to send a message to them demanding satisfaction.

A windy morning in Manitowoc.

I woke up this morning with an aching head and the sound of wind rattling the screen in my bedroom window. Oh ya do I mention our four month old was fussy so she ended up in our bed in the early morning. So much for the one day I get to sleep in per week. Now I'm off to help fix the little stoppers that keep the chairs at church from falling over. I hope I don't forget my hammer.

Reality tv

What is the deal with reality tv anyway? Why do we even call it reality in the first place? Are there really people that live like that? Drinking all day and night and sleeping with anything that moves. I do get a kick out of some of the shows though. I mean how amusing is it to watch these morons get on national tv and make complete jack asses of themselves? Maybe I'll have to make my own someday on YouTube. I'll call it the extremely bored Californian stuck in wisconsin.

The day of the japan tsunami

So this is my first time blogging and I'm sure I'm going to suck at it, but here goes. Just call me Paul. I live in manitowoc Wisconsin, which has to be one of the most unexciting city's in the states but whatever I'm here. I grew up in a little town in southern California called Ojai. Man do I miss that town. I miss being able to work on my car in the winter without putting on three layers of clothes. Well that's enough for now.
